Who we are

We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@inverted.work.

What we collect, and why

Email correspondence. When you email us or use one of the email links on this site, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use this to reply to you, to scope and deliver work you ask about, and to keep a record of our correspondence. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and, where you go on to become a client, the performance of a contract.

The Scan.The free diagnostic at inverted.work/scan has two modes. Playbook mode runs entirely in your browser: your answers are processed on your device and are not transmitted to anyone. Live analysis sends your answers (and, if you provide a website address, the public text of that site's homepage) to our analysis engine, which uses Anthropic's Claude API to build your map. This data is used only to generate your results, is not stored by us, and is not used to train AI models. If you email your results to us, that email is handled as correspondence, as above.

Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, a cookie-free, privacy-preserving service that counts page views in aggregate without identifying or tracking individual visitors.

Hosting logs. This site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like most hosting providers, Vercel processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) in server logs for security and delivery. We do not use this data to identify visitors. Vercel may process data outside the UK; it does so under standard contractual safeguards.

Cookies. We do not set cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not use the contents of your emails or your Scan answers to train AI models.

How long we keep data

Correspondence is kept for as long as it is relevant to an enquiry or engagement, and then for up to six years afterwards where we need it for legal, accounting or contractual reasons. We delete it sooner on request where we have no such need.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our processing of it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email hello@inverted.work and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
